Mulot-Durivage: exposition 1874

Impressionism, a historical reconstruction:

Emilien Mulot-Durivage

(1838-1920)

An impression of his pictures at the

1st ‘impressionist’ exposition in 1874

What pictures did Mulot-Durivage show at the 1st ‘impressionist’ exposition?
Émilien Mulot-Durivage showed 2 landscapes at the 1st ‘impressionist’ exposition in 1874 (catalogue numbers 113+114). Some reviews just mentioned the title of no.113, none of the works were described. There are less than 20 paintings known of Latouche and most of these works are not dated (see the overview of his pictures). This makes identification almost impossible. For both works I render works of other artists to compare, rendering the same theme and also works of Mulot-Durivage depicting another theme. See the link for an account. See link for an explanation of the subscriptions. See for the used sources below at the main page about Mulot-DurivageEnjoy!
